Definitely not the greatest place to eat. Ordered fries and gravy, clubhouse sandwich and a beer. The french fries were over fried to the point of being shriveled and dark, a strange after taste leads me to think the deep fryer oil is not being changed and used to fry everything in. The gravy was tasty but had lumps of something through out it. The club house sandwich had little meat and alot of bread. The beer was hard to screw up but they managed to do that too. $6.95 for 1 beer! Talk about over priced. The cooking staff seen from the open concept kitchen looked like a bunch of tattooed gangsters.

Took a motorcycle ride down from Courtenay to check it out. Draft beer was ice cold (lovely). Nice outside patio over looking the Marina. Great for watching boat launching.

Although I didn't try the food, it looked good going buy. More of a cafe vibe with a nice decor than a true restaurant, but saying that in a good way.

The "Pig Roast" at Ship and Shore was very enjoyable tonight. Everything was planned out very well.... pleasant, friendly and efficient staff... and the owners, Bruce and Melanie.... well done!!!
